Our story

We are Wet Dog. Small active lifestyle stores in Wells Next The Sea on the North Norfolk coast.

We have an unstoppable passion for beach living. Life on the coast is great, laid back, relaxed and easy. It’s all about enjoying yourself and feeling good, whether on the beach, in town or in the water. But there was never anywhere locally to buy the gear we really wanted. So 14 years ago we opened our first Wet Dog Surf Shop, and since then grew the business to 3 different locations. More recently consolidated to the one outlet here in beautiful Wells Next The Sea – the store for your beach lifestyle.

We bring you surf  brands including:

Rip Curl, Billabong, Quiksilver, O’Neill, Roxy, Reef, Havaianas, Santa Cruz,  Hurley, Protest, Saltrock, DryRobe, Aztron and Aquatone, as well as other well-known brands like Nalu Beads, Northcore, Alder, Swim Secure, Sun Bum, Sola and not forgetting our own Wet Dog brand of hoodies and tees.

We are always on the lookout for new and exciting brands to introduce too, and will keep searching for the latest and coolest to bring on board !

Our clothing ranges include, hats, bags and sunglasses as well as wallets and belts and our beach wear includes swimsuits, bikinis and boardshorts and of course wetsuits together with towels and changing robes. We also stock a range of bodyboards, surfboards and stand up paddle boards.

You’ll find us right on the Quay in Wells (just by the famous Granary) overlooking the stunning harbour. We are just a short walk from Beach Road and close to the main shopping street.
